Fatty’s Bar

Hello! I hope the holiday season is treating you well, and that you had the divine experience of witnessing the Boise OG Christmas tree at the Festival of Trees this year. If you are the one who bought it for the generous sum of $1400, we thank you. Now, don’t go thinking we pocketed that money, and that we don’t need you to buy up our hefty stock of time-sensitive, soon to be worthless calendars… the Festival of Trees is a fundraiser for St. Alphonsus. We donated the tree, decor and swag, and the money that was raised goes to St. Als, for what I’m assuming is something important. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, check out my new venture into the world of TikTok. It may be worse than this newsletter. And by worse I mean more random, with even less forethought.

Let’s get talking about Fatty’s. It’s been gone from 8th Street for a few years. I never had the pleasure of going, but from my limited bar experience, I probably wouldn’t have loved it. No offense to all the Fatty’s lovers out there. I just don’t do loud, dark places with “friendly strangers.” I’m more of a “4 Surge White Claws in a place where I can just randomly fall asleep and not have weirdos asking if I want to play pool.” The real bar expert in the family is my husband. After he graduated high school he worked as a night janitor and cleaned several of the downtown bars at night… Let’s just say he gets a little nauseated every time he smells tequila. Point being that bars are great places to spend time with friends and family during this season of togetherness.

Please consider buying a Boise OG calendar and supporting two middle aged hustlers and their families.
