Snowpocalypse

The year was 2017, the month was January. It was the snowiest winter Boiseans had seen in 30 years. 21 inches in January alone! It was crazy! I remember staring out the window hoping that a plow would make it to my neighbor, but then wishing they hadn’t when they blocked my car in the driveway with a 5ft pile of snow. Also fond memories of going out to my car to head to the airport and then realizing that the entire bottom of my car had frozen to the street. I dug it out just in time but was nearly paralyzed from all the muscles that I pulled, most I didn’t even know I had. Then, there were the 3 times I had to call my husband to come pull my car out of the same parking spot at work...

To those that were out shoveling your roofs, I salute you... By that point I assumed we would all die in that frozen Hell. I can be really dramatic when I’m cold and/or inconvenienced... Oh and remember how annoying it was that our kids got FIVE snow days!?!? And didn’t realize what a freakin' miracle that was?!?!? I’m still mad about that! While I’m writing this I want to grab that 2017 me by her chubby little cheeks and whisper to her, “Just wait for 2020”...

FYI “Marked safe from” is a Facebook thing to let people know you are safe... I didn’t know. I had to ask Kelly. Also please note our conservation efforts as this sticker is like basically all white, saving ink and the planet.
