Captain Credit
It’s time we talk about Boise celebrities. We have our nationally recognized celebs, such as Mark Johnson with his viral meme, as well as Centennial High Alumni Aaron Paul, formerly known as Aaron Paul Sturtevant, Class of ‘97 (yearbook conveniently missing from the State Archives), but who’s stalking who… If they made The Real Housewives of Boise who would be on it? Which Boise family would be in our version of Keeping Up with the… Albertsons? Simplots?
I would watch Boise Celebrity Apprentice with the following contestants (living and nonliving—but in this scenario those who are not currently living would be living in the show—my show my rules, don’t make it weird):
Larry Gebert (Host)
Steve Appleton
Gene Harris
Kristin Armstrong
Curtis Stigers
Velma Morrison
Brent Coles
Torrie Wilson
Jake Plummer
WAIT!!! Scratch the Apprentice. Same contestants, still Larry as host, but the show is now MTV Boise Celebrity Deathmatch!
Being a celebrity isn’t all about money and fame. What about raw talent and pure charisma? I’m talking like local local celebrities, like the ones you only know about if you have been here a while. You know, Boise’s best kept secrets like Dennis Dillon’s own CAPTAIN CREDIT! The hero those of us with bad money habits could always rely on for an auto loan. May he forever remain a hero in our hearts, and may this sticker forever be on your car and/or water bottle.
Seriously,
—Heidi
P.S. Aaron Paul was on the Price is Right:
